Smile

Well, here it is - 'The Chair' - completed.

I have to say that the anticipation of making it was far worse than actually making it (like a lot of things).  I did make sure I constantly checked, pinned and tacked which made a huge difference.  The back is by no means perfect, but on a scale of 1-10, I'm at a 9 so feel very satisfied!

My slight gripe was when I was sewing the patchwork rows together, I didn't notice that there were 2 squares in the same place on 2 rows - grrrhhhh, but as it's on the curve of the chair you don't actually notice too much.

With regards to patchwork - there's an awful lot of it in the house now, so better stop in my quest to patchwork the entire house!

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer holidays so far (or not?).  We've had lots of scrapes, bumps, cuts, falls off scooters down big hills etc etc etc.  Plasters have run out and TCP is running low but apart from that all is good!

Have a good weekend!

Well I knew it would look good but not this good - it is fab! Much nicer than the CK one - honestly. As for the same squares thingy - even after you said I still can't see what you mean - so worry not - I think stuff like this stares at us and passes everyone else by - I hope so anyway - just decorated a room and the mistakes are screaming at me - hope they just whisper at the others - lol!
Enjoy the hols - you clever thing - hope your kids keep on the move or they'll be patchworked come September :)

Congratulations and what a great job you've done too. All that hard work and measuring certainly paid off! I've been putting off covering a couple of sofas and a chair but that's only with plain sheeting so perhaps I should get on with it. In the Autumn!!

Are you going to let anyone sit on it?!

Well done for even attempting it, surprising what you can do when you put your mind to it isn't it :o). I love it and only wish I had room to do something similar for my bedroom. Lovely blog hope to come back soon.

Silly question, but have you tried Elastoplast Extreme plasters! I can only imagine the long hours of patience spent on making that chair look so pretty. You've done yourself proud Sarah. The Statice looks rather lovely too. x
