On the turn

I'm back after a little break down in the beautiful Kent countryside.  I'll share more of that with you once I've sorted through the enormous amount of snaps taken!

The end of August is well and truly upon us and there is a distinct 'change' in the air.  The morning and evenings are getting darker, the leaves are on the turn and the berries are bursting with colour.

All in all we can't complain too much with the weather this summer (maybe in my part of the country at least).  I do however, always feel robbed when the summer comes to an end.  Perhaps because the winter is not my most favourite time of year.

For now, I shall take pleasure in a few balmy days, the dew on the grass, the last few flowering plants and the glory which September brings.

I'll be back shortly with piccie overload, but for now, I better catch up with your lovely blogs!

TTFN.

Its quite weird, the apples are early (Autumn) but the sun is shining. A very mixed weather season in Stoke. I quite like Autumn dark nights though, cosy on up.

It's been a very mixed summer here in the West Country this year with a bit of everything - yesterday was cold and wet but today we had lunch in the garden! I have to say though that I do rather like the early autumn days and try not to think too much about the short winter days that will surely follow!

I'm not, I'm not, I'm NOT thinking about autumn yet! We have a week's holiday to go and the heatwave has only just broken! But the blackberries and plums are giving things a faintly autumnal feel, I have to admit. Thanks for your comment on my finds. Are we going to get to see yours?

Yep, it's definitely gone Autumny, which I actually do like. Autumn walks kicking through dead leaves on sunny days, but then, as you say, comes the DREADED Winter.

There is a definite nip in the air particularly in the evenings but it has been a good summer on the whole. I don't like seeing the school holidays end so I'll not think of Autumn for another week!! LOL!! Cx

I've also noticed how much cooler it is in the evenings! Making the most of the last week of the holidays!
