Culture in the big Smoke

Hope you all had a good weekend?  For once, I feel mighty refreshed after this weekend.  As you know we took a trip to London on Saturday to the Natural History museum.  We got up nice and early as we hate getting caught in crowds.  Anyone who's been to the museum before, knows it gets mighty busy.  Parking was easy - Imperial College which is on Exhibition road and next to the Science museum.  Handy and not badly priced for London.

My favourite part of the museum are the stuffed birds and animals (weird I know).   I'm not alone as this part of the museum was busy to say the least.

Then we went across the hall to the T-Rex exhibition -  as you can imagine, it was popular with everyone - we didn't have to queue too long though to see the ferocious dinosaur roaring at us all! (no photo I'm afraid - it didn't come out!).

I'll leave the rest of the photo's to do the talking!

Once we had had our fill of the museum, we popped across the road to the V & A and went into the fashion hall which I hadn't been in before - here's a snapshot of a few of the dresses and shoes through the ages.

The last outfit you see was 1986! - doesn't it look dated, but I suppose it is over 20 years ago now.

I've got other bits of the day to share with you, but I'll save those!  Have a great Monday......
