Robins

Morning everyone on another freezing cold day - this has to be a record surely??

Unlike many parts of the country, we haven't suffered too badly with snow, a couple of inches at best, enough for the boys to play in but not enough to keep them off school (great for me, not so for them!).

I think as long as you don't have to venture out in it and brave the roads in cars, I find the snow quite magical.  This is the view from my 'work' room.  As you can see not much.

I was however fortunate enough to spot Mr Robin sitting on one of the branches in the back garden.  Every time I opened the window to take a shot, he flew off.  In the end I managed one through the window, hence the lack of clarity.

Snow does go hand in hand with robins don't you think?

I found a poem about robins which I thought was quite fitting.

I shall try and not make it a week before I post again!  Have a good weekend.  I'm determined to get some Christmas preparations done..........Stay warm!

For some strange reason the snow has made me feel less christmassy - I think it's because we always get it in January.

Enjoy the wintry weather and have a lovely weekend.

Awwww, I love Robins! We don't get any birds in our garden no matter how many types of food we put out. They are obviously not too fond of the yapping mutts.
Hope you have a great weekend.
