Despite it being so, so wet, I ventured outside to see what plants were coming to life. I love watching the bulbs emerge, seeing new growth on plants I thought were dead, and slowly watching the blossom erupt on our lovely trees - fancy a tour?
Here are a few pictures of my 'shed' which sits at the back of the garden. I remember building it with lots of blood, sweat and tears! Boy, did it take us a long time....
When we bought the house from new 10 years ago, our boundry was hedgerow and for a long time we left it and accepted it, but last year we wanted to formulate a little more structure but still inkeeping with being more 'natural'. We cleared mostly bramble and the dreaded ivy and it was surprising how much more garden we had - here's a few snaps with work in progress -
Lots still to do, but that's half the fun isn't it?

What a perfect place, that's my sort of garden
Yes it's lovely to see our garden's come back to life.Everthing looks so bare in the Winter months and you can't believe the dead looking twiggy bits will suddenly burst into life and bring some much needed colour. Love your 'shed' as you call it.Do you sit in there I wonder,or is it just used for storage?I painted our summer house(it was that orangey wood colour) and it took about 5 coats to cover it ,but it was worth it!

Everyday I have a look at the garden to spot the coming up of the plants. We still don't have much sure what we have out there, but hopefully the coming weeks will be brighter and drier and so we can start the works outdoors.
I love your shed pictures, specially the colour!
xx
You have a lovely looking garden. I am still waiting for ours to wake up. Very slow this year! No sign of blossoms yet on our 2 apple trees. The daffodils have not opened up yet either.
I like the colour of your shed.
Warm wishes

My garden is still promising to wake up, but has barely opened its eyes yet. I have plans, oh such plans...
Isn't it amazing how much land ivy and brambles can steal? I love the look of your shed. xx
Hi Sarah! What a heavenly garden you have! I was thinking of posting a Spring tour of my flowers too!
Wishing you and your family a happy Easter!

I love your shed, I can imagine spending hours pottering about in it and around it. Aren't these light nights brilliant, and the birds round here are VERY noicy at 5am!! I must learn to sleep with the windows completely shut lol x

I'm loving the garden waking up too. Every day seems to bring a little change. And its lovely to hear the birds singing.
I have a sudden and disconcerting crush on your shed. Can I invite it out for dinner please?

Hiya, thanks for the hello on my blog. I love your shed, oh how I wish a I had a lovely shed like that. Mine is the same colour as yours but is nearly falling over :-( Happy Easter.
Your garden looks like a lovely haven, it's wonderful when you see the first signs of Spring. I would love a shed like yours , I think I would use it as my own little escape. The colour is great, it looks like a Farrow Ball garden colour, they blend so well with their surroundings. Hope you are having a lovely Easter weekend and managing to spend some time in your garden.
