Well, back to it again after a fantastic 2 week Easter break all helped by great weather by and large. The house is now quiet and as much as I miss not having the boys' here, I can get on without interruptions!
On Friday, whilst browsing through Country Living magazine I noticed a pair of pumps which had been customised slightly using Liberty fabric for laces - what a great idea I thought, and I set to, with making my own pair of unique laces. It was quite awkward and I had to sew them by hand as the fabric got sucked into my sewing machine, but I do think they've turned out quite well - what do you reckon?

I saw those laces in CL and thought it would be simple to make your own. They look good. Glad you had a good holiday and aren't the bluebells early this year - they don't usually put in an appearance till beginning of May. We saw a few last week too.

those are the prettiest laces I have ever seen! I hope the deodorant didn't run into his eyes as the practice went on. :-)
The laces look lovely - I'm wondering if CL used Liberty print bias binding which Clothkits sell?
Aren't kids great ! love the laces well done, hard work but worth it. Just checked out the bias binding on clothkits wow, now what can I use that for ?

Kids are ace arn't they... they will be making the decisions one day and choosing which nursing homes we go in! lol

I too saw the laces idea...but as I dont have a sweing machine I thought about using some polka dot ribbon!...they look fab!
