Injections of colour

Phew, end of another week, pretty much half way through January already!

Fed up with drab and dull - synonymous with this time of year, I thought I would brighten up the end of the week with a few cheery photo's.

In between 1 school pick up and another, I popped to Hobbycraft to pick up some needed supplies.  It was lovely to see the shelves full of Easter related products (I know it's a while off, but it's colour after all!).  For £1.99 I couldn't resist this little felt basket.

Due to my increased love for crochet (having finally got somewhere with it), I treated myself to a few balls of cheery wool.  Nothing beats that, don't you think?

My crochet is slowly developing - riddled with mistakes, but who cares!

Fabric - I bought this stash in the sale - a pair of patchwork curtains beckons, after all, it's almost a year since I made my patchwork door curtain! which you can see here.  Still living with the stress of making that one, I thought I'd go for a simple square design rather than multiple triangles.  I don't think hubby is impressed that the fabric involves flowers and the colour pink.......

Try and have a 'colourful' weekend!

The felt basket is adorable - I can just see it with a choc bunny inside! And your wool colours match it. Pretty cottons too. You're going to be busy! Have a good weekend :)

Love that cute felt pot! That toadstool draws me in!

That's the fun with crochet I think, you learn as you go along. Love that green wool you have there. And those fabrics are definately yummy!

Hope you have a great weekend.

Beautiful fabrics, I wouldn't mind having a go at making patchwork curtains for my bathroom, I have plenty of pretty thrifted cotton bedsheets.

Pretty crochet squares, I didn't realise how addictive crochet can be.

Sarah, your crocheted squares are looking great. Oooooh, patchwork. I'm desparate to try some. I'd never seen your patchwork door curtain and I've just had a look at it. It's awe-inspiring!

I also love your new header. The heart garland is gorgeous and an idea I want to steal! When you've got a moment, could you let me know how you made it? Is it fabric? Would love to know.

Have a wonderful w/end.

What a sweet basket.
You are right, there is something rather special about buying yarn - I once dreamt I was in a wool shop choosing some!
