Something for the weekend

When it's cold outside, what you need is comfort food to gently ease you into the weekend.

Marmalade cake courtesy of Nigel Slater -

made with homemade Seville orange marmalade

and a slice or two of Hot Cross Bun loaf loaded with peel, fruit and cinnamon.

Have a great weekend!

Oooh, looks yummy! But must try and resist cakes for a while - daughter's wedding coming up - tried some dresses on today in town - needed a size 16 - was a 14 a few months ago :(

Hot cross bun loaf, sounds yummy as does the marmalade cake.
Just as well I have just had my morning coffee and a little (healthy) treat, or I would be searching for something.......my mouth is watering.

I loved how colourful this post is.
I'm really noticing how the days are getting longer and brighter. It's nearly spring!
